Today is the first day of Term 3 Sunday School holiday programme. Since there was a spa pool outside the foyer and the kids were wondering what it was, I shared a short message about baptism.

Baptism is an action that all Christian believers undertake when they believe, accept and realise that they are dead to the law and given new life through Christ who saved them at the cross. It is a public declaration saying, “I am a Christian now. I am a follower of Jesus,”

But it is much more than a declaration.

When a person goes under the water, that person is “buried” with Christ. That is, his old life is buried, gone and dead. When the person rises up from the water, he is “Born again”

Remembers these verses to help you understand more about baptism:

(2 Corinthians 5:17) Whoever believes in Christ, is a new creation. The old has gone, the new has come.

(1 Timothy 1:15) Jesus Christ came into the world to save Sinners

Did you know?

Jesus is a friend of sinners, so Jesus is OUR friend.
